Our Process
Measurement
Measurement in any job is crucial, and the same goes for the leveling we do. Every Job we go into we want to make sure we have the proper measurements to make sure when we level, we get it right each and every time.
Preparation
Before any type of leveling happens, preparation is a key step that we do to to ensure everything goes as planned. This consists of anything from adhesive removal, removal of lose debris/concrete, patching, scarifying/grinding, and vacuuming to ensure a clean and dust free surface. Preparation is an essential factor in the leveling process before application of appropriate primer.
Priming
Out of all the steps we do in our leveling process, priming is the most important. What priming does is that it retains the moisture in the leveling. It also acts as a bonding agent that ensures that everything bonds correctly and the finished product comes out right.
Mixing
Before the pouring process, the leveler must be properly mixed before we can start pouring.
Pouring
One of the biggest steps in the leveling process is the pouring. Once the leveler is mixed, we bring the mixer over to the area, and we pour section by section to apply the proper amount of compound as needed. This way we make sure each pour is even and correct to our measurements.
For larger jobs we can use the Imer pump that helps us tackle large areas quick and efficiently. The Imer can pump up to 300-400 bags per hour.
Gaging
After each pour we have someone who gages the leveler. Gaging is simply evening the leveler out While each pour is mixed the same, we gage to ensure the proper depth of leveler is applied.
Smoothing
The final step in our process is smoothing. While gaging only evens out the leveler, we also want to make sure that the leveler gets smoothed to ensure that we can get rid of any imperfections and it also helps release surface tension for the curing process.
